Licensed Master Social Worker
Hello! I am Ashley (she/her/hers) and I am a Licensed Social Worker in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
As a therapist, I believe that every individual has the unique potential to achieve growth through self-actualization. However, many individuals struggle to tap into that potential to reach optimal peace and happiness due to psychological barriers. That’s where I come in…
I place my clients’ values, experiences, and expectations at the forefront of our work together as we chart a path forward to achieve your goals. This client-centric approach allows me to integrate several evidence-based therapeutic modalities during our time together. In other words, we will not only collaborate on the therapeutic “destination” but how to get you there so that you feel safe, respected and understood. When appropriate, I also enjoy incorporating less “traditional” methods of therapy including “walk and talk”, animal-assisted, expressive, and somatic therapy.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents and young adults managing the emotions and stressors that come along with significant life transitions. I have experience working with a diverse range of clients and diagnoses including depressive, anxiety, mood, trauma attention-deficit/hyperactivity and substance use disorders.
As a new mom, I also have a strong passion for perinatal mental health and supporting new parents. I am also committed to fostering an inclusive therapy space that is gender-affirming and LGBTQIA+ friendly.
Prior to working at Enrichment Wellness, I provided individual, group and family therapy services at a private practice in Bethesda, MD. I also have experience with community-based crisis intervention and psychiatric inpatient services.
I earned my Masters in Social Work from The Catholic University of America and Bachelors in Communications from American University.
When not in session, I enjoy live music, nature, yoga and cooking. Born and raised in New Jersey, I have been a DC resident for nearly two decades with my husband, our rescue dog and infant son.
I would describe my therapy style as welcoming, sincere, humorous and practical. If this sounds like the right space for you, I look forward to working with you!
