Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor
Psychotherapist
Welcome! My name is Katya, and I’m a Licensed Graduate Clinical Counselor with a passion for holistic healing. With a background in both psychology and yoga therapy, I integrate evidence-based mental health approaches with therapeutic somatic practices to support my clients’ overall well-being.
In my clinical practice, I work with adolescents and adults, specializing in PTSD—particularly among survivors of sexual assault—along with anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Gestalt Therapy. I also utilize somatic tools such as body scans, mindfulness practices, guided visualization, and breathwork to help clients deepen their mind-body connection and facilitate healing.
I have been teaching yoga since 2014 and hold a Master of Science in Yoga Therapy from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH). As a Certified Professional Yoga Therapist, I specialize in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Yoga for Eating Disorders, and Yoga of 12-Step Recovery.
Whether in-person or virtual, I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to navigate their healing journey. My goal is to provide individualized, integrative care that honors the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
I’m currently under supervision of Olya Rich, LCPC
