LARA KLOPP
Licensed Master Social Worker
Welcome! My name is Lara. My goal is to support and empower my clients as they explore ways to make impactful change in their lives and their relationships.
I earned my BA in Fine Art from the College of William and Mary, my Master of Fine Art from Wichita State University, and my Master of Social Work from Florida State University.
I previously worked in a clinic that specializes in serving the LGBTQIA+ community, primarily serving gender-questioning and trans clients. My experience also includes working with couples navigating relationship and communication issues, clients experiencing grief, and people of all ages (from pre-K through adulthood) navigating life’s difficulties and transitions.
I use various therapeutic techniques based on the needs and goals of my clients. I incorporate elements of: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Person-Centered, Strengths-Based Therapy; Talk Therapy; Motivational Interviewing; and Mindfulness; as well as creative therapeutic techniques incorporating art and play.
Understanding that my clients are the experts on their own lives, I am honored to help people discover and navigate the path that best suits their needs, goals, and desires.
