Gestalt Therapist (Coach)
Hi, my name is Natalia—but most people call me Natasha!
As a Gestalt coach I use creative and experiential techniques with my clients, through which they enhance their own awareness, freedom, and self-direction.
At the core of Gestalt Therapy is the holistic view that people are intricately linked to and influenced by their environments, and that all people strive toward growth and balance. Gestalt is person-centered therapy in this way, as well as in its emphasis on the counselor’s use of empathy, understanding, and unconditional acceptance of the client to enhance therapeutic outcomes. As a Gestalt coach, amongst other areas, I can guide you to regain your personal strength; understand your internal conflicts; explore and transform your relationship with yourself and others; unlock your creativity, inner resources and talents; release negative emotions; work with psychosomatic symptoms; and address individual challenges.
My sessions with clients are based on four fundamental pillars: contact, dialogue, relationship and experiment. Gestalt Therapy aims to foster self-awareness, personal growth, and self-acceptance by helping individuals fully experience and process their emotions and behaviors within the therapeutic setting.
About me: I was born in Russia, lived in Singapore for 8 years, moved to the US in 2015, and have had wonderful experiences traveling to many places around the world. All these experiences expanded the boundaries of my perception, and have reinforced for me the importance of meeting the world and our daily reality with openness and acceptance. I am a wife, a mother of two small girls, and a dedicated, lifelong learner. I love to be active, whether through yoga, meditation, retreats, dancing, painting, and traveling. And, through all of these pursuits, the most important: appreciating nature every day.
I hold a Master’s Degree from the Russian School of Gestalt Therapy, a 3-year program comprising 1,400 hours of study, training, and practice; with a further 250 hours focused on therapy with children. In addition, I have completed formal training programs in several other areas of psychology, including holotropic breathwork, family constellations, regression, theta healing, and art therapy. To work with people is my passion, and I welcome sessions with children and pregnant women, in addition to adults who seek to explore new ways of interacting with themselves, others, and the world at large.
