Hello~ My name is Sam DiStefano and I am looking forward to working with you. I am currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master's student at Southern New Hampshire University providing counseling services under supervision to complete my internship before graduation.
I’m compassionate about working with neurodivergent individuals and helping them discover, explore, and process life’s challenges in the past, present, and future. I’m dedicated to helping my clients find what works for them; this means building better habits and processes specific to each person and letting go of ones that aren’t a good match. I work within the age ranges of 12+ through 50s, with a special interest in assisting through transitional periods of one’s life. In my previous career, I facilitated, supported, and coached software development teams and found a deep appreciation and interest in the person-centric part of that role.
As a late-diagnosed woman with ADHD, I have deep empathy and understanding for the unmasking process as well as how we are able to best function day to day with changes and challenges that come with aging. Self-esteem, self-identity, and self-worth can all be impacted when we move through certain points of life; you don’t need to navigate this alone. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my found family playing video games and attending anime conventions!
