Our child-specializing clinicians are trained to work inside a child’s natural language of play, drawing, and story, with care for the relationships a kid relies on to feel safe.
Sometimes you have language for what you are seeing in your kid. Sometimes you only have the feeling.
In-person in Rockville and Silver Spring, or by telehealth across Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Louisiana, and Washington State.
The parent who walks in looking for help for a child is usually carrying something they have not been able to put down. Sometimes you have language for it. Sometimes you only have the feeling.
Children’s therapy at Enrichment Wellness is for kids roughly five to twelve, and for the parents trying to figure out what they need.
Children’s therapy here is play-based, attachment-informed, and developmentally calibrated. Sessions are forty-five minutes, in-person at our Rockville or Silver Spring offices or by telehealth for kids whose attention can hold it.
A child’s natural language is play, drawing, story, and small careful conversations that happen sideways instead of head-on. Our clinicians work inside that language. A session might be twenty minutes of play that looks like just play and is actually the work, a drawing that tells us what words do not reach yet, a short conversation when the door opens for one, and a small skill practiced together.
Internal Family Systems scaled for kids, so a child can meet the worried part or the angry part without becoming it.
CBT and DBT skills scaled to development, alongside mindfulness practices that fit inside a seven-year-old body.
Eye movement techniques when a child is carrying something traumatic and ready to process it.
Parent coaching is part of the work. You will know what your child is working on, in language you can actually use at home.
The teacher emails change tone. Your kid finds words for what used to be only behavior. The siblings can be in the same room for longer stretches. The worry has somewhere to go besides their body. You stop bracing for the next meltdown the whole drive home.
You start trusting your own read of your child again.

Additional training in IFS-for-kids, CBT and DBT skills scaled to development, and trauma-informed approaches where indicated.
We match a child to the clinician whose style and lens fit who that child actually is. If the fit is wrong, we say so and we move them.
Your child’s progress is the only scoreboard.
