Bailey, Caitlin, Katya, Megan & Sam
Each works specifically with adolescents and understands the difference between a teen who needs space and a teen who needs a stronger hand.
By the time you reach out about a teen, you have usually been watching something for a while.
In-person in Rockville and Silver Spring, or by telehealth across Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Louisiana, and Washington State.
Teen therapy at Enrichment Wellness is for adolescents roughly twelve to nineteen, and for the parents trying to read a face that has learned to give them nothing.
It tends to be one of a few familiar situations.
Teen therapy here is weekly, fifty minutes, in-person at our Rockville or Silver Spring offices or by telehealth across Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Louisiana, and Washington State. A teen who walks in expecting to be talked at usually shuts down, so our clinicians start by listening, slowly, in language a fifteen-year-old can actually recognize.
Internal Family Systems for the inner critic that has been running the show. The part that performs okay all day at school. The part that disappears at home. The part that has been waiting a long time to be heard.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and how to hold two true things at once.
CBT for the thought loops that have worn a groove, and ACT for values-based action when motivation is thin.
Mindfulness for the knot in the stomach and the racing mind at eleven at night.
Plain language. Real tools. Nothing that feels like a worksheet from health class.
They find words for what used to be only behavior. They develop tools they actually use when the moment is hot. The friend group has a name they can work with. The inner critic gets quieter. You stop guessing what is going on, and the dinner table feels different on a Tuesday in October than it did in August.
They are moving, which is the only measure that matters here.
What your teen says in session stays between your teen and their clinician. That privacy is what makes the work possible. A teen who thinks their words will be repeated at the dinner table will not bring the real material into the room.
You will know:
The clinician will talk with you and your teen together about how communication works in your specific case.

We will match your teen to the clinician whose style fits.
